The space we're creating
Lotusfold is a private space for couples to do intentional relationship work. It is not therapy, counseling, mental health treatment, or medical advice. Nothing in Lotusfold is a substitute for a licensed clinician. If you're in crisis, please reach out to a qualified professional or, in the United States, dial 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Keep your credentials confidential. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your content
You own everything you write inside Lotusfold. By using the product, you grant us the limited permission needed to host, transmit, and display your content to you (and to your paired partner where applicable). We do not use your reflection content to train AI models or sell it to third parties.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Lotusfold to harass, threaten, or harm another person, including your partner.
- Don't attempt to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer the product.
- Don't use Lotusfold to impersonate someone else or misrepresent your identity to a partner.
- Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.
Pairing with a partner
Some features unlock when you pair with a partner. Either partner can dissolve the pairing at any time from Settings. Dissolution does not retroactively delete content the other partner has already read; it stops new shared activity.
Subscriptions and billing
The free tier is, and will remain, free. Paid tiers are clearly labeled, billed in advance, and cancellable at any time. Refund requests within 14 days of a renewal are honored, no questions asked. Taxes and fees are added where applicable.
Termination
You can close your account anytime in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these terms — usually after a warning, immediately for severe abuse.
Disclaimers
Lotusfold is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee uninterrupted operation or the absence of bugs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to Lotusfold is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we'll notify you by email and inside the product before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
